Toyota Pliability and Modulus Tester
The Toyota Modulus and Pliability Tester is used by Toyota Motors and it's suppliers for evaluating a material's overall pliability. This machine is exactly like the Modulus-Stiffness Tester at the Toyota Technical Laboratory in Ann Arbor Michigan. It is a floor standing unit with build in lift tubes (4" x 8"). It utilizes a dial force gauge that has a 0 to 5 Kg range. The actuator is anti-rotational, with a 4 inch stroke that runs on 24
VDC.
The Modulus test requires clamping the sample down with the provided holders. The Modulus indenter is then applied to the sample when the direction switch is flipped "Down" and start button is momentarily pressed, the machine automatically runs through one cycle and stops. The numerical Modulus value for that sample is read off of the force gauge indicator and recorded. The direction switch is flipped "UP"
to return the force gauge for the next test.
The Pliability test requires removal of the Modulus indenter and clamps. The Pliability indenter and table top are installed. The sample is placed on the table top and the direction switch is flipped "Down", the start button is momentarily pressed to initiate the test. The machine automatically runs through one cycle and stops. The numerical Pliability value for the sample is read off the force gauge indicator and recorded. The
direction switch is flipped "UP" to return the force gauge for the next test.
Specification:
Meets requirements of Toyota TSL 5101G.
