Coldfold Tester

The Cold Fold Tester is a simple aluminum fixture with knurled internal floating rollers, appropriate weights, and a detachable drive motor.  The fixture is designed for use in a cold chamber.  The drive motor remains at ambient temperature until the test is actually performed.

Once the test fixture and test samples have both soaked long enough in the cold chamber, they are ready for use.  First, the test fixture is quickly removed and the ambient temperature gear-motor is placed on it and turned on.  Then the test samples are removed, folded, and run through the rollers as dictated by the test specification.  Test  results are evaluated visually.  The test is that simple!
