Nissan Scratch Tester

The Scratch Tester is used for evaluating a material's ability to resist scratching.  It is a bench top, single station, single cycle machine.The operator lifts the scratch weight to its upper position.  The weight is designed to toggle over in the up position and includes quick release pins for complete removal, if necessary.  Double-stick adhesive tape is then used to attach the test sample to the lower test surface and the weight is lowered.

To complete the test the start button is pressed.  The machine will automatically run one cycle and stop.  The sample is now ready for visual examination.
